A Note from the Trainer

"Finance is a subject that many people shy away from - it often seems like an unwelcome reminder of maths lessons of years ago. For some people they have never been instructed in the basics of financial planning and reporting, and the whole area remains surrounded in mystery.

"This situation is a problem for those of us who, through promotion, have found out that we need to take responsibility for a budget or get on top of the business' overall financial situation.

"This finance for non financial managers course has been developed to provide a working foundation in the skills of financial management and planning and will ensure that you leave understanding the language of accounts, how to interpret financial documents and how to manage your budget professionally.

"I understand that finance can seem a somewhat dry subject, so rest assured I have developed a fun and lively workshop that you should enjoy as much as you learn from."

Damian Carroll is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and has extensive experience in both consultancy and in-house work for organisations such as Citicorp and the London Stock Exchange.

He provides a rare combination of in-depth knowledge with an approachable, friendly and flexible training style that is vital to the successful teaching of what is for many a challenging subject. Damian's sense of humour and fun approach help make his courses enjoyable as well as educational.
