Course Rationale

In any business the ability to present powerfully can be crucial in securing staff commitment, and gaining and retaining customers.  In “not for profit” organisations too  presentations are a vital tool when communicating with partners, sponsors, governments  and all your  stake holders.

People who have to make presentations often spend hours considering the content of what they will say, but give little thought to how they will say it.

Some people seem to have a natural ease and charisma when they make presentation.  Their audience wants to be convinced by the.  They like them.  But this confident and effective style has, in almost every case, been learned and practised.  Great presenters are not born.  Even if you are already good, you could certainly be better!

Successful individuals and organisations do not leave this important communication tool to chance.  Excellent  presentation skills are learnable, and quickly repay investment in their development. This presentation course is your opportunity to tranform your presenting skills and your effectiveness at work.

A Note from the Trainer

"Delegates on the presentation course often arrive feeling apprehensive about public speaking.  Invariably they leave more confident and looking forward to their next opportunity to make a presentation and demonstrate their new skills.  We work in small friendly groups.  I will cover some of the important background theory, but the main focus is practical, so that you will have an opportunity in a supportive, unthreatening setting to practise your new skills.

I always make sure that this course is enjoyable, as well as really useful."
